Song of Heart

8 04 2008

I do not love you as if you were a salt rose, or topaz
or the arrow of carnations the fire shoots off.
I love you as certain dark things are to be loved,
in secret, between the shadow and the soul.

I love you as the plant that never blooms
but carries in itself the light of hidden flowers;
thanks to your love a certain solid fragrance,
risen from the earth, lives darkly in my body.

I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where.
I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride;
So I love you because I know no other way

than this: where I does not exist, nor you,
so close that your hand on my chest is my hand,
so close that your eyes close as I fall asleep.

–Pablo Neruda

Love makes life worth living, without it death seems a pleasant idea.

Within the center of darkness
light shows its self.

Within the center of light
darkness comes to life.

Within the center of life
darkness will always exists
if we don’t see the light.

Love is the absence of darkness
when love unfolds a daily sunrise
upon the darkness of my soul.

I think love can not show its self until we love ourselves in away that the sunrise unfolds upon darkness showing us the beauty of color thats surrounds us before we feel its warm embrace to a point of returning that warmth to another.

Does this make any sense…lol
